  • To observe for paper presenters

    In most seminars rooms there will be a laptop (PC) and facilities for Power Point presentations. IT IS ENOUGH TO BRING A USB MEMORY STICK. If you bring your own Mac laptop to the Congress, please observe that you have to bring a VGA adapter as well – to be able to connect your laptop to the projectors in the seminar rooms.

Jan Nederveen Pieterse

Professor in sociology, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, specializing in global sociology and the interactive character of global futures through merging economics, ecology, political science and cultural studies.

Lilie Chouliaraki

Professor, London School of Economics and Political Science. Chouliaraks research concerns the nature of mediated public discourse from an ethical and political perspective, as well as the moral implications of the media in contemporary public life.

Vandana Shiva

Yudhishthir Raj Isar

Yuezhi Zhao

Professor, Simon Fraser University, Canada. Zhao ́s research includes news media, globalization and democracy in China, focused on the interlocking of state control and market forces in the Chinese media and the Internet.
