Student editorial staff: self-presentations

Andre SpĂ­nola has a bachelor in journalism, graduated at Fumec University, in Brazil and currently attends the 2 years master program in media and communication at JMK.

Has professional experience as TV and radio producer, but also worked as free-lancer for Brazilian newspapers whilst living and studying in London, UK. For his masters research he intends to explore and investigate journalism and its intersections with cinema/documentary. He is hugely proud to be a member of this team and looks very much forward to IAMCR 2008.

Paola Sartoretto graduated in Journalism and PR at Santa Maria Federal University (UFSM) in Brazil where she worked as reporter and press-officer before moving to London to pursue a MA in International Communication and Human Rights at City University. Paola is interested in studying the relationship between media and movements of the civil society. Working in this project means a lot to Paola and she hopes to deliver useful information to all participants.

Sofia Cottman, born in Uppsala, Sweden, is 27 years old and is currently attending a Master Course in Journalism at the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication at Stockholm University. She started of as a professional contemporary dancer, followed by a few years of traveling, which in turn inspired her to come back to Sweden to take a Bachelor Degree in Social Anthropology. Sofia is very much looking forward to be a part of the 26th World Congress of the IAMCR and hopes to provide the participants with all the interesting, useful and exciting information you will need before and during the IAMCR Congress 2008.

Tycha Jovanovic is a master student at Stockholm University. She is taking the two-year Masters Course at JMK in Media and Communication. After rounding off her bachelor degree in media in Amsterdam, she worked for three years as a producer and journalist at AT5, the local Amsterdam television newschannel. Tycha is enthusiastic about working in this project and aim at bringing the most important and useful information about the event.
