How to present a paper?
Most of the participants at the Congress will present a paper in a section or working group. Here are some words of advice concerning the presentation.

To observe for paper presenters
In most seminars rooms there will be a laptop (PC) and facilities for Power Point presentations. IT IS ENOUGH TO BRING A USB MEMORY STICK. If you bring your own Mac laptop to the Congress, please observe that you have to bring a VGA adapter as well – to be able to connect your laptop to the projectors in the seminar rooms.

Media researchers with background from 16 countries have investigated the newspaper coverage of the Danish Mohammed Cartoons. The results have already been presented in a report (Kunelius et. al. 2007). In 2008 a new book will be published by Nordicom. Here the coverage of the events are set in a wider perspective with regard to transnational media research and how different readings come into being, depending on a variety of contexts.
Extra boat to archipelago tour with buffet

The tickets to the archipelago boat tour on July 22 were sold out June 1, and around 80 latecomers have since put their name on a waiting list. We have now succeeded to rent another boat (with 100 places). The persons on the waiting list will all get a ticket. Any tickets left will be sold at the registration office when the Congress opens on a first come served basis. The price is €50 and includes a delicious buffet. We have a guide onboard who will tell us about the route.

July 7 more than 950 partcipants are registered at the IAMCR Congress, including panelists and speakers. All continents are represented: Europe (28 countries), Asia (21 countries), Africa (21 countries), North and South Americ (12 countries) and Oceania (3 countries). 52 percent are women. The programme of the Stockholm Congress is now printed. Later this week the same version will be accessible on our website as well, as a pdf-file. It means that we cannot consider late changes of seminar schedules any longer, for the print version.
